6 Easy Steps to Study September Intake in Italy 2024
Step 1 : Start Now!
- Shortlist the Universities that you are willing to apply to. Look for any specific or related courses to your field of study and start your research. Go through all the courses and Universities in Italy carefully and make a list of the ones you are interested in.
- The most important thing to look at is if the course is available in the September intake, and what are the application deadlines for the course. Also, see if you fulfill the basic requirements of the courses you are applying for.
Step 2 : Appear for the Exams: September 2024 to July 2024
- Check the Italy University English Language Requirements. On the University website, you will find the admission requirements and tests that you need to take. On the official websites of the Universities in Italy, you will find the admission requirements and the tests you need to take for a particular course.
- Start appearing for exams during this time. The most common entrance exams are GRE and GMAT, along with English Language Tests like IELTS and TOEFL. The Italian Language Tests are PLIDA, CELI, CILS and TELC.
- Keep in mind the time to prepare for the exam, book the exam, and the time taken to declare the results by the testing authorities. Also, have a buffer in case of retests if the results are not as per the expectations.
Step 3 : Start Applying to Colleges: May 2024 to June 2024
- There will be some additional requirements for the admission process. SOP and LORs are very crucial parts of one’s study abroad application. They should make your application stronger and tell the selectors that you are a perfect fit for their University.
- Contact your immediate supervisors and professors for the reference letters. Start constructing your SOP (Statement of Purpose). The documentation process should start a month from the application deadline.
- Start working on your SOP (Statement of Purpose) a month before the application deadlines. Also, get in touch with your immediate supervisors and professors to get your LORs (Letters of Recommendation) written. When you are ready with all the documents, apply before the due dates.
Step 4 : Acceptance Letters and Interviews: December 2024 to July 2024
- If there is a development in your application, you will get an email from the University. You are required to revert them in case you are interested in attending the course. There might be a non-refundable fee to be paid.
- As soon as you receive the mail from the University, you should reply to that if you are positive about the course. Do not wait for the deadlines to reply back. Send a confirmation mail to the University saying you are ready to attend the course.
Step 5 : Visa Application/Education Loan: July 2024 to September 2024
- As soon as you get the acceptance letter, start applying for the Student Visa in Italy. The Visa process will take time. It is better to apply for a study permit three months before your departure.
- Before the Visa processing, it is important to get all the required documents in one place. Also, you will need monetary proof to show that you can sustain yourself in Italy. Step 6 : Tickets and Departure: August 2024 to September 2024
- The semester will start in September, and it is always advisable to arrive in Italy a month before the course starts. If you are going to live off-campus, you should look for accommodation options along with the residence permit for Italy.
- Before flying, make sure you are not missing out on anything. Make a pre-departure checklist and follow it. Arrange for an international credit or debit card before you fly.
